This year five of our students received a gold award for the efforts they've put in by attending Sheffield Chinese school. A special ceremony was held at the University of Sheffield Hallam to celebrate the students' achievements. The award scheme was set up by the Home Language Accreditation Project (HoLA), a partnership project between Languages Sheffield, King Edward VII School, the Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service (EMTAS) and Sheffield Children’s University. The aim of HOLA is to build strong links between complementary schools and mainstream schools, because HOLA recognises the values of engaging in extra-curricular activities outside of mainstream school, and speaking multiple languages. HOLA endorses the multilingualism and diversity of our students by supporting them to achieve a national accreditation in their home language. The students who achieved a Gold Award this year were: Rachel Chan Samuel Chan Henry Cheung KingYee Cheung Derek Lee Congratulations to all of them!
